![]() ![]() July 11, 2010 Pastor's PerspectiveOpen windows in the early morn, quiet evenings on the deck or patio, peaceful walks in the open space and everywhere the beauty and musical calls of the Summer birds ~ their color and song still catches us by surprise and summons wonder.Surely one of the most distinctive of them is the beautiful cardinal who captures our eye and holds our attention with his repetitive call. Joyce Rupp in her book, Rest Your Dreams on a Little Twig reminds us of its beauty and Summers calls to wonder. The clear call
of the bright red sentinel of dawn sweeps out dreams from my sleepy mind. I become aware of the intense beauty of life, the gift of another day. And while the cardinal continues to call, my soul weeps with the wonder of it all. Peace, and take time for quiet and wonder in the warmth of Summer. Fr. Chuck
