April 4, 2010 Pastor's PerspectiveEaster
is the highpoint and center of our Faith as Christian believers.
It is so profound it’s hard to put in ordinary words. Christ is
risen indeed and in that reality we too are called into the mystery of
dying and rising with Him.
A few years back I found myself wanting to celebrate this joy in poetic fashion. I share it with you this Easter Day:
- The unexpected Victory! . . . David / Goliath
- Nervousness gives way to the serenity of accomplishment!
- Glorious sunrise born out of the dark and fear of the night!
- Spring breaking out of the cold and dreary winter!
- Jerusalem disappointment giving way to Emmaus surprise!
- Liberation born of burden and enslavement!
- Hope born out of discouragement!
- Death that gives way to Eternal Life!
- It is all of us born anew in baptism!
- It is the Risen Christ who goes before us!
In Him we too celebrate the victory of Easter life . . .
