Pastor's Perspective
Easter Season ~ The Great Fifty Days!
When we celebrate in Church we really celebrate! Easter is the
perfect example. We celebrate the Easter Feast for 50 days.
This observance has a longer history than any other season of the
Christian year.
It is only right that since the “paschal mystery” is at the
core of our Christian life ~ so Easter should be the richest and most
joyful part of the year. Note too that the Easter candle burns at
all of our Masses from now until Pentecost, the end of the Easter
Season.

This week, from this evening through late Wednesday, Fr. Bob and I will
be attending Convocation 2007 at the Crown Plaza Hotel. This is
the annual gathering of all the priests and Pastoral Administrators of
our Diocese. All of us are required to attend. Our focus
will be on the Spiritual Life and our speakers are both very well known
in the U. S and around the world. They are Fr. Timothy Radcliff
O.P. and Fr. Richard Rohr, O.F.M. I’m delighted they are
both coming and look forward to their talks.
Easter Peace,
Fr. Chuck
