Pastor's Perspective

This weekend launches a very exciting venture for our parish family ~ “Pillars of Our Vision”. It is a very important step in helping us deal with a whole variety of issues and opportunities facing our parish as we continue to grow and move forward.

Last August, I invited a cross section of key committee chairs, staff and a divers group of parishioners to help shape our vision and soon you too will be asked for you input and needs in a parish wide survey.

Our vision:
“To nurture and grow the spiritual vitality of each and every Saint Rita parishioner and support them along their faith journey as Disciples of Christ while fostering a vibrant engaging, welcoming faith community.”

The pillars that support this vision are:

Faith Formation
Stewardship
Liturgy/Ministry Support
Evangelization
Social Action
Leadership

We will be sharing more on all this in a special mailing to every household.

I believe it truly is an exciting step for the future of our parish and each one of us who count ourselves members of the Saint Rita family.

I am most grateful to Tim Mason who is leading us in this venture and to all the more than 30 folks who have worked to shape it.

It will be the work of each and every one of us to help achieve the vision and to support our “pillars”. I pray that our God will bless us each step along this way.
