Committee Purpose:
To visit the parish homebound with Holy Communion and to visit our parishioners who live in nursing homes.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities for Members:
Have a positive, Christ-like attitude, make visits once monthly, be accountable to co-chairs about conditions of homebound person and/or nursing home resident. We do not take Holy Communion to Nursing Homes - a friendly visit will do.
Training needed:
One hour of explanation from parish minister.
One visit to home with a parish minister
Must be a Eucharistic Minister to offer Holy Communion.
Current volunteer needs:
We need volunteers to visit Nursing Homes. We don't take Holy Communion to Nursing Homes - a friendly visit will do.
Comments:
All are welcome who communicate well with unwell or elderly parishioners and who feel called by Christ to minister.
