Sink a Putt; Drive Away In a New Car at the St. Rita Fiesta

Win a 2-year Lease on 2005 Nissan Altima in the Last Golfer Standing Hole-n-One Contest

Sponsored By: Vision Automotive Group & Flaherty Funding Corp.

One lucky putter will win a two-year lease on a 2005 Nissan Altima by sinking a putt in the "Last Golfer Standing Hole-n-One Contest" at the 51st Annual St. Rita Fiesta. The prize will be awarded Saturday night June 4th. The Fiesta begins Friday, June 3rd.

Qualifying Made Easy
Qualifying rounds will be held Memorial Day Weekend at Vision Nissan in Webster, Vision Dodge in Penfield, Vision Ford in Greece, or Vision Hyundai in Henrietta. Five dollars get you two chances to make a 20-foot putt, in order to qualify for the finals. You must show proper identification. All proceeds from the qualifying rounds benefit the Fiesta. Qualifying will also be held at the Fiesta starting Friday night 6:00p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and continue on Saturday until 6:00pm. The finals begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night. You may only qualify one time for the finals.

Final Round
Each qualifier will attempt one putt from 10-feet away on the same hole(s) used for qualifying. If you miss the 10-foot putt, you are out of the contest. If you make the 10-foot putt you remain in the contest and all remaining contestants will then attempt a 20-foot putt.

This process will continue by moving back in 10-foot increments until one contestant makes the putt and all other remaining contestants have missed. The "Last Golfer Standing" wins a two-year lease on the vehicle provided by Vision Automotive Group.

In the case where all remaining golfers miss the putt at a certain distance, they will move back to the previous distance and try again until one or more make the putt at that distance. This continues until one lucky golfer is the only one to make the putt at a particular distance and is declared the winner.

Plant Sale Puts Down Roots

We will be having the Plant Sale at the Fiesta and due to your generous donations last year of perennials, annuals, shrubs and houseplants, we had a large assortment of plants to sell. We will come and dig out plants for those who cannot dig them. For more information, call either Carol VanAtta, 671-7832, or Joyce Hollander, 671-3281.

The 51st annual St. Rita Fiesta is scheduled for Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4. Join us for two days of fun, games and activities for children and adults. You won't go hungry, either. There is plenty food on both nights, including the Friday fish fry and the famous chicken barbecue, being offered both Friday and Saturday evening.

St. Rita's welcomes the rock band Reporter to the stage Friday night. On Saturday, perennial favorite The SkyCoasters The #1 Party Band in the World! returns with their brand of musical revelry. Come early and stay late. There are plenty of activities for children, including games, fun booths, and entertainment for the young set.

Proceeds from the Fiesta help fund many things at the Parish throughout the year, including repairs, enhancement, debt reduction, and assistance to needy organizations. This year's tithing will assist the Daystar Program - Sisters of St. Joseph day care facility for high risk infants - and House of Hope - Webster community program which helps local families in need.

Donate Pre-enjoyed Books, Tapes, CDs, Cassettes
During your spring-cleaning as you dust off books you no longer read, videos/DVDs you no longer watch, or music CDs/cassettes that you don't listen to, don't toss them. Instead donate them to the St. Rita Fiesta Book Sale.

A box for donations will be placed in the narthex.  For pick-up, call 671-2722.  Once again, we cannot accept encyclopedias or condensed Reader's Digest.  Thank you for your generosity.

Silent Auction Needs Items
St. Rita Fiesta needs new items for the Silent Auction. You can help by donating new items with a minimum value of $50. To donate an item, contact Jackie Carosa at 671-8508.

Bid on Reserved Pew for Christmas Eve or Easter Masses
Want to arrive at Christmas Eve or Easter Mass right on time and still get a seat? Then consider bidding on a parking spot and a reserve pew for the Christmas Eve (2005) and/or Easter (2006) Masses.

Volunteering is Good for the Soul
Want to be more involved? The Fiesta always needs volunteers for a variety of activities. Those who would like to help with fundraising should contact Gary or Virginia Nicastro, 872-5564. For all other inquirers, call Tom Cali, 671-0428 or Ed Ritzel, 787-1937.
