FIESTA NEWS

49th ANNUAL SAINT RITA PARISH FIESTA

Friday, June 6 from 6:00 – 10:00pm
Saturday, June 7 from 3:00 – 11:00pm

All parking will be located across the street at the Armory. Handicapped parking is available in the St. Rita Church parking lot.

Great Entertainment featuring 4 local music groups in concert:

FRIDAY ~ GONE FISHIN' and CIARA LYNN (St. Paul Parishioner)
SATURDAY ~ GROUP THERAPY and THE SKYCOASTERS

GAME BOOTHS ~ CONCESSIONS ~ GREAT FOOD BOOTHS ~ GREAT COMPANY!

FISH FRY – Friday seating begins at 5:00pm (take-out begins at 4:30pm)
CHICKEN BARBECUE Saturday seating begins at 4:00pm provided by Mike Brown's Catering Works

SELL~ SELL ~ SELL~ YOUR RAFFLE TICKETS: And Don't Forget:

If you sell four (4) books or more, you can receive either a free Fish Fry ($7.00 value) or $6.00 worth of Booth Bucks. Booth Bucks can be used like cash at any Fiesta booth. To be eligible, your tickets must be turned in to the Parish Office by May 30th (if the office is closed, drop them in the mail slot in the door). Your Fish Fry coupon or Booth Bucks must be picked up at the Parish Office on or before 5:00 pm Thursday, May 30th. Limit one prize per family.

If you sell five (5) books or more, your name will be entered into a weekly drawing for a $100 cash prize . You will receive one entry starting with book five and one entry for every book thereafter. The drawings will be held on Saturday afternoons (5/11, 5/18, 5/25) and Friday, 5/31. Winners will be announced at all Masses. Tickets must be dropped off at the Parish Office by 5:00 pm the day before each drawing to be eligible for that week's drawing. All tickets (except the winning ticket) remain in the drawing pool throughout the contest. So, sell your first five books early to enjoy the best odds of winning $100, or more!!

If you did not receive raffle tickets in the mail there are extra books available at the Parish Office.

FRIENDS OF THE FIESTA ~ In addition to selling Fiesta raffle tickets, there is one more way you can help support the good works of Saint Rita Parish. Your FRIEND OF THE FIESTA donation will help support parish operations as well as our numerous ministries and outreach programs. "Friends of the Fiesta" envelopes are available in the pews and on the tables outside the chapel. Please return your contribution in next week's collection. OR mail your donation to Parish Office in a separate envelope and note "Friend of the Fiesta" on your check. Make checks payable to Saint Rita Church. THANK YOU!

FIESTA PLANT BOOTH SALE: Please consider dividing or thinning your inside and outside plants to donate to our Fiesta Plant Sale booth, such as houseplants, perennials, tubers or shrubs. Please call Joyce Hollander, 671-3281 about any donations of plants or containers.

BOOK SALE: We are currently accepting donations of used books, videotapes and CD's. (No encyclopedias, Readers Digest or textbooks). Clean out your bookshelves and bring your donations to the greeting area in Church or for pick-up please call 671-2722.

BAKED FOOD SALE: The St. Rita Society appreciates your support in making the Fiesta Baked Food Sale a great success. If you can donate a baked food item, please bring it to the Parish Center Gym on Friday, June 6 after Noon or Saturday, June 7 after 1:00pm. Pies, cakes, and cookies are just a few suggestions. St. Rita's 50th Anniversary Cookbooks will also be available for $6.00 each. Stop by their table, as they will have some prizes to raffle off as well. Please call Julie Chirdon at 671-1451 if you want to help or bake.

There are a wide variety of ways you can help! If you are interested in sharing some of your time in the spirit of community and fun call one of our chairmen, Dave Mauro (671-2383) or Tom Cali (671-0428).
