Altar Servers Training & Coordination

Committee Purpose:
To assist in recruitment, training, scheduling and oversight of altar servers.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities for Members:
- Solicit age-eligible candidates via parish bulletin.
- Attendance at & scheduling of orientation sessions (approx. 4 hours per session).
- Develop server times & rotation schedule
- Update communications as needed.
Training needed:
Parish staff will assist with training needs and orientation.
Volunteers should have interest in youth development. Their service & experience in Church is essential to the program.
Current volunteer needs:
Parents of eligible age candidates would be ideal for the program.
Expansion of our committee to eight volunteers (currently three) would
allow flexibility in scheduling of duties with minimal impact on
volunteer involvement.
