Morning of Prayer for Parish Ministers
Special presenter: Sister Mary Louise
Saturday morning, October 24, 9:00-12:00
Topic: Prayer
This
is a combined presentation with all the Webster parishes and will be
held at St. Paul’s. Following the keynote speech, there will
be
sessions on different types of prayer. These Saturday mornings have
become a special fall mini-retreat for our parish
ministers. Please make every effort to
take advantage
of this opportunity. Watch the bulletin for more details.
General
- THANK YOU to all who filled in when needed over the summer.
- The
next schedule will run from November-January. It’s
too hard
to get schedules out the end of December. If you’ll be going
away
in January, please let me know. Christmas/New Year will be by sign-up
only.
Lectors
- Orders
for Lector Workbooks will be placed by the end of September. If you
definitely don’t want one let me know so we don’t order it. Otherwise
we order one for every lector. It is valuable resource that
the
parish makes available to all lectors, regardless of ability to pay.
The cost is $10.
Communion Ministers
- Remember to use the hand sanitizer before and after
communion. After communion is for your health!
- Purifying reminders:
- The
hand towel and corporal can be reused for several Masses if they are
clean and reasonably dry. No need to put them in the laundry
after each Mass.
- There are soft purificators in the drawer for
drying the pewter chalices and prevent scratching. The stacks of soft
purificators have labels on them. It’s also better to use these clean
purificators rather than the ones that were used for wiping the chalice
during communion.

under “Ministries”, then “Liturgical Ministries”.
NOTE: When
you get to the schedules, use the far right scroll bar to
find the other schedules. Otherwise you’ll only see the Leader schedule.
