Faith Formation Grades 1-6

Committee Purpose:
To help St. Rita's parish children develop their personal faith relationship with Jesus.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities for Members:
Catechists teach children in Religious Education one hour per week during the school year. Lesson planning, classroom management and being willing to share one's personal faith with the children are requirements.

Training needed:
We offer training in-house and through the diocese. Teacher guides and resource books from the publisher are provided. A video library is available for teaching tools as well as teaching resources such as work sheets, craft books, audio tapes and monthly catechist magazines.

Current volunteer needs:
We need at least 60 Catechists each year, at least 10 Substitute teachers, aides and office volunteers.

Registration for 2010-2011

Registration forms are available in the Church, Faith Formation Office and the Parish Office.  Parish registration is required prior to registering for Faith Formation and may be done at the Parish Office.
